Initial Consultation & Confidentiality

Initial meeting.

Counselling is a shared commitment between counsellor and client.
Empathy, genuiness, respect and unconditional positive regard are the core conditions of the therapeutic process and remain active throughout the whole journey of self-change during each counselling session .

During your initial consultation I will help you to explore your present issue/s, look a little at your life history and ascertain a focus for counselling.  We will gain an impression of each other which will allow us to decide whether we can work successfully and positively together.  Also this first consultation will allow me an opportunity to answer any questions you may wish to ask about our work together or  any concerns you may have brought with you.
